Addressed the Social components of the million-dollar project this evening. The premise: I need to be social sharing the path to a million.
The inherent problem with that: I’m not very social. Got to get over that starting today.
Potential Social Outlets considered:
Facebook (established author page under my pen name David Elwin Lee)
Twitter (established author page on Twitter)
Future state (year-two decisions):
YouTube
TikTok
All social will point to the blog to build followers.
So, why Facebook?
Facebook is just so damned big, you had to go there first, right?
Besides, my fiance will sometimes post things on her Facebook for our primary business, Old and New 2.
There was some level of comfort in working with Facebook out of the box.
Because this is published under a pen name, though, we’re limited to Facebook’s author/business type page and not your typical Facebook account.
That’s somewhat limiting.
We’ll give it a shot for now and see where it goes.
So, why Twitter?
Again, there was some level of familiarity.
I’ve played around with Twitter over the years with some varying degrees of success.
As for the rest of the social media outlets?
They will have to wait for a year-two review to see if any of the rest make sense to drive traffic.
In others words, I’m going to try to whole ass Facebook and Twitter and learn how to do them well, rather than half ass all of the Social channels.
We shall see how it goes!
I do believe that a key path of growing anything to a million dollars is mastering social and sharing the path to a million regardless of what your million is.
In other notes, I’m happy with how the book artwork came together:
For now, I believe that filing Social-related posts belongs in Million-Dollars business. You can look for Social stuff and that circus there.
